Reader Review: This was a nice, sweet book. I love dominating men. The hero was just that. The tension between the main characters was wonder which made the sex scenes great! I will read this book again and look forward to reading more books from this author.

Will Clay’s lack of loving words bring back painful memories of Bobbie’s childhood or can she put her fears aside and finally find love with her California Cowboy?

Clay Bodine has lived on the Lazy B Ranch since birth. He works the land with loving hands while ruling it with an iron fist. When his younger brother mentions hiring a new kid, Clay doesn’t think much about it… until they meet.

Sparks fly when sassy and independent Bobbie Carlington meets her new boss for the first time. Used to answering only to herself, Bobbie quickly learns that things don’t quite work out that way on the Lazy B.

When Clay takes Bobbie’s virginity his old-fashioned ways demand he marry her. Will his lack of loving words bring back painful memories of her childhood or can Bobbie put her fears aside and finally find love with her California Cowboy?

This book is a re-release.

NoteePub, short for electronic publication is one of our favorites and should be yours for a couple of reasons. ePub offers reflowable text giving you flexibility to manipulate how the digital content is presented. Moreover, lots of cool features are now being developed for the reader like advanced video and audio. ePub is now an industry standard, so all of the device manufacturers are now supporting it?. except of course those two proprietary (ie: we don't want you to have a choice) online behemoths: Apple and Amazon - who seek to chain you like a trailer park dog forever to their devices. Three years from now, we predict ePub will rule the eBook landscape.

California Cowboy

Chapter One

He couldn't help the smile that crossed his mouth. He'd taken great pleasure in marking her. He wanted everyone to know she was taken. He might be considered old fashioned, but he figured he'd laid claim to her and the sooner everybody realized it, the better off they'd be because he wouldn't have anyone else trying to stake a claim on what he considered his.

"What I know is that you'd better watch your mouth, darlin'. That's no way for a lady to be talking."

"Oh, go screw yourself, cowboy. I've never pretended to be a lady and sure as hell don't look like one with this damned thing on my neck." She must be pissed, Clay thought. He'd never heard her use foul language.

"I won't warn you again, Bobbie. If you can't curb your tongue I'm sure I can find something for it to do."

The look on her face had been comical until he'd added, "I told you everyone would know you belong to me. There's no mistaking it now so you might as well get used to it."

Without further words or action, Bobbie had turned and left the room and hadn't looked his way since. Clay meant to remedy that problem today if he had to track her down and drag her back kicking and screaming. Since Bobbie was spending most of her time outside or closed up in her room in order to avoid him, Clay knew he'd have to go in search of her.

It was almost an hour later when Clay walked into the dimly lit interior of the stables. The pleasantly familiar scent of hay, leather and horse wafted around him, assaulting his senses.

A horse neighed behind its stall door. It was then that Clay heard it, Bobbie's soft, crooning voice. She'd been spending a lot o

Overall, this is a good story with a strong plot, but the story was slow and dull at times. On the plus side, the love scenes were sexy and realistic! I give this novel 4/5 stars!

This book was pretty good. It kind of has a slow start so you really had to stick with it before it got good.

The hero was a first class asshole. The heroine was ditzy and easily led. Nothing about this story was appealing.
