Tasting Candy
Lust was the lure, Candy was the reward. Walking around with a raging hard-on isn't Blade Vaughn's idea of a good time. He's hungry for sex and there's only one woman on his menu: Candice Warner. When Blade witnesses the shy beauty go into a panic over a harmless encounter, he's more determined than ever to prove that sex with him is just the therapy she needs. Candice is used to being afraid of her own shadow, but when she goes all nutso in front of Blade, she's beyond mortified. She wants him to see her as an equal, and as a woman. It's time she got over her past trauma and started living again. But trust is hard to come by when her only experience with men has left her heart in pieces. Warning, this title contains the following: Hot, steamy, explicit sex. Oral sex. Sex in public places. Oh, and sex in the shower.

Good book, but was to short so they had to rush the relationship in the book.

This is a quick read type of a book. The story of how Blade "helps" Candy overcome her fear of men after being raped is a little far-fetched, in my opinion. I am not sure a rape victim would appreciate Blade's take on how to recover. That being said, Blade is a very earthy male and the woman he wants is Candy. And he gets her. She gets an earthy, caring, gentle bundle of testosterone that any woman would be proud to have. I enjoyed this as a quick read. It was not written to be the great novel and it isn't. What it is is a fun, sexy read with a hero I really like. I must say that I saw no reason for the author to let us in the bathroom with Candy while she relived her encounter with Blade. I also saw no reason for the big F words. I didn't find it helped make Blade more "male". It made him kind of crude, so I just ignored the words. The book would have been nicer without either of my gripes which is why I gave it a 3 instead of the 4 it could have gotten. Those factors made the book a bit raunchy for me. It may be just what you are looking for, and I did like the story and the hero.

I thought this book had a great hero and a good story. My only problem was how fast the heroine responded to the hero is unrealistic, in light of her issues.

The plot was weak to say the least--actually, the plot was pretty non-existant. The sex was on the tame side as well.
