Reader Review: An interesting concept that works well...in an era where women are invisible. Emmaline is bright vivacious strongwilled and a survivor...yet vulnerable particular in economic terms. Sedgwick deserves everything that he got, including Emmaline finally. Enjoyable read and engaging.

Alexander Denford, Baron Sedgwick, is a gentleman to be envied. He lives a rakish life of well-celebrated ease and contentment and has one person to thank for his perfectly ordered existence - his dearest wife, Emmaline.
