Reader Review: Being the youngest is always annoying but never more so when the man you love has withstand 16 of your overprotective uncles. Not to mention the misunderstanding between Lincon and the McFearsons which lead to hostility in their youth. Melissa loves her overbearing and overprotective uncles but she also adores Lincoln. It is very obvious that Lincoln is deeply in love with Melissa which becomes apparent in the first 2 chapters so the story is more of their road to a happy ending and how they overcome the obstacles ahead of them, together.

What was to be a grand adventure for Melissa MacGregor -- an escape from the wilds of her Scottish home into the whirl of the London social scene -- seems to pale before the promise in the passionate gaze of Lincoln Ross Burnett.
