Reader Review: This is the first book i've read in the series and it was great. The writing style is easy to follow and I like how the story is written in first person. it really allows the reader to get into the characters head. Most mysteries do not follow through on the surprise ending, but this one keeps you guessing til the end.

gets you hooked

The first of the In Death Series, this will definately leave you wanting more! I love the mix of crime drama as well as romance, and i think JD Robb (Nora Roberts) does a great balance. I've always been a fan of Roberts, so this certainly wasnt a disapointment. I've gone on to read up till the 5th book and since there are tons more, i look forward to seeing Eve grow as a character.

Stick with it

This is the first book in the series, I struggled with this book. I found it difficult to get in to and actually put the book down and stopped reading it. On picking it up for a second time, I am glad I stuck with it because the ending was ok. It is a good introduction to the characters. I have now read most of the books in the series, this isnt one of the best

The in death series by J.D. Robb is one of the most well known mystery series out there. I'd never read any of the books so I decided to take the plunge and read the first one in the series. I've gotta say I'm not disappointed. The books takes place in the future, usually not really my thing, but in this book the future stuff is mentioned matter of factly, it's just the way the world is and it is believable. Also the developing relationship between Eve and Roarke is interesting and adds to the series appeal. I think I'll be reading the next ones in this series.

Fantastic! Can't wait to read the next book in this series. Eve Dallas is a flawed heroine that you want to experience happiness with Roarke, a sexy, delicious alpha male. The suspense is captivating, and as usual, Nora Roberts delivers!
