Reader Review: This is book 14 and is a short story. This one is about Riordan & Juliette & takes place in South America. He's one of the powerful and feared De La Cruz brothers. She's a jaguar shifter. She's arrived to save the person that is being held and tortured and it turns out to be him. Things don't start well for these two since he's been starved he viciously feeds off her. They make for a powerful duo. This book is short and because of that it is packed. It's too bad this wasn't a full book or combined with one of the other couples in a full book. It was too short for them, and left you wanting more of their story.

I purchased this book for the Christine Feehan story in order to keep up with the rest of the Carpathian series. Definitely not her best effort as it, along with two of the other stories, were too short and felt rushed. The last story was definitely the best and was much better fleshed out.
