With stars dotted on her wrist, Gillian has "inherited" Maunra, the Demon world and uses her special skills to kill any demon that jumps through a portal into the human realm. With a coup on Maunra, Gillian meets Arath the new Demon King and finds herself attracted to him. Yes he may be the hottest "man" she's ever met and she may be on the rebound after finding her last boyfriend in bed with her gallery manager; however she doesn't normally pursue a relationship with a being without a soul. That said, as the portals become unstable and every creature imaginable starts jumping to Earth (killer demons, murderous faeries, rampaging dragons etc) the Caruthers sisters have never been busier and as the danger escalates, Gillian finds herself needing the help of Arath. The action runs thick and fast alongside the humour as the sisters juggle their public commitments with their Guardian duties. Assisted by other members of their secret organisation, the Caruthers sisters can kill a variety of otherworldly beings before posing prettily for the paparazzi and raising millions of dollars for charity. Just a typical day for a superhero! "The Demon King and I" is the start of a great new series from CH in which each sister will take centre stage.
