Reader Review: I absolutely loved this book and I can't wait for the next in the series!!! Elena and Raphael are two wonderful main characters and all of the other characters we are introduced to, [such as the Seven and other hunters], are also very interesting!! I won't give another synopsis as there are many summaries of this out there but I highly recommend this book!!

Awesome series!

I got addicted to the other series Ms. Singh is writing, but this one is absolutely fantastic as well! I love Raphael and Elena and all of the other characters in this series. The chemistry among all of the characters makes this worth reading over and over again. I hope to see more of Raphael's Seven. Dimitri's book is out and Gavin's story is in Angels' Flight, but I really can't wait for the rest!

Absolutely fascinating!

Singh has created an extraordinary world, with angels, vampires and humans coexisting with full awareness of each other. The two main characters, Elena and Raphael, are two very intriguing characters, he mysterious and layered and she fearless and complex. The power struggles between the Archangels are fought with delicious tension and hidden agendas and the roles of the vampires are yet to be fully disclosed.

My one issue with the story is actually the interplay between Elena and Raphael. Elena's dialogue with Raphael seemed immature and was annoying. I understood her efforts to maintain her independence and sense of self but she just came across as childish so often.

I think this world is extremely complex with ulterior motives at the forefront for so many of the main characters. It will be interesting to see how this all unfolds in future books in the series, even the new foundation for Raphael and Elena's relationship. I'm in for the long haul.

Definitely not the view of an angel one has. the characters were intense and greatly developed. i would say the only draw back was that the passion in the main characters could of been better it seemed more of a yes/no type of relationship. the second book has the same issue in my opinion but it was a great and different romance book.
