Reader Review: I liked the story a lot. It didn't focus on the sex, but on the developing relationship. The story flowed naturally & evolved without it feeling like the writer forced it. I would recommend the book.

Lauren glanced up at the sound of a door slamming. Her heart danced wildly for just a moment as she watched the lean hipped, lanky man head her way. At the same time, a weight she carried on her shoulders seemed to grow just a little bit heavier.
He would never love her.
The first time she had seen him had been from a hundred feet away and her heart had simply flipped over within her chest. Lauren had been struck by love at first sight, though she had barely been able to make out his face. His face hadn't mattered, because her heart had recognized him.
It hadn't even been until a week later that she had actually met him, face to face, when Dale had strolled up her walk and knocked on her door, flashing that grin at her before holding out his hand and introducing himself. He had flirted casually with her off and on for several months, raising her hopes, then dashing them quickly when it finally dawned on her that Dale flirted with any and every female he met.
The thing was, Dale Stoner loved women, and women seemed to love him right back. He danced around the line to that lead to seriousness, but any time one woman got too close, he two-stepped back quick and pretty as you please. ...

this was an unexpected pleasure to read. i bought it because of the review, but sometimes a book is great to one person and not so for me. this one was really good. the storyline was interesting and it was well written. this book was most definitley worth your time to read.

"Her Best Friend's Lover" will touch a chord with anyone who's ever been intensely in love with someone who didn't feel the same way. It will break your heart and make you smile. While the sex scenes are incinerating, they never come across as indulgent. Infused with tender emotions, they reflect how Lauren and Dale's relationship have evolved. This is a story that will linger in your heart long after you have closed the covers on the book.

Storyline: unrequited love (she loves him, he only sees her as his buddy), friends becoming lovers and more, pregnancy. Good writing quality / Very hot (initially from Ellora's cave...), intense and passionate lovestory with characters who have depth plus HEA ... . My first from Shiloh Walker and probably not my last as I liked it a lot! highly recommended. nb: a few typo problems in the adobe reader version but nothing really annoying.
