“Yeah, I’m sure,” Emma replied, excitement lighting up her face. “He’s not even home from work for another hour and we’ll be back long before then.”

With that, the two girls threw open the side door to Emma’s sprawling home, and walked out to the shiny black Ferrari that sat safely in the garage.

The hardtop convertible was breathtaking with its sporty front end and wraparound rear window, hugged by two flying buttresses. The girls filled the air with wild laughter as Emma jumped into the driver’s seat and Andrea quickly slid into the passenger side.

“Oh my God, this is so hot!” Emma exclaimed, running her tiny hands over the thick black leather steering wheel. She grinned at Andrea, before slipping the gear into Drive. The car bolted out of the parking garage, and Andrea squealed with excitement and fear.

“Slow down!” she shouted above the loud music floating through the car. Emma paid no attention, whipping out of the long paved driveway onto the curvy road that lead to the freeway. She was in her zone, joyriding in Daddy’s car, with no care in the world.

The girls whipped around corners, flying over a steep slope before the car roughly settled back down on the ground. Emma flicked the blinker on to the right, and turned onto the open highway. She flicked a switch and the hardtop roof began to collapse in perfect orchestration.
