Forced By A Werewolf
She had only been on the path a few minutes, leaves crunching beneath her sneakers as she walked, before she became aware that there was someone moving behind the trees on her right, keeping pace with her. She called out, laughing at first, thinking it was maybe Chloe or Jason trying to spook her, but becoming more and more uncomfortable as the figure didn't respond. She began to walk a little faster, aware that whatever was following her increased their pace too, catching glimpses of a large, strange shape moving with her in the darkness.
Her feet moved her up to a slow jog, building to a run, whipping her head to the right and seeing the dark figure racing to stay with her, getting closer every second. She could hear it breathing, heavy and fast, knowing now that it must be some kind of big animal; the shape in the shadows had sunk to all-fours as it followed her.
All of a sudden, a huge growl split through the air, and the creature launched itself through the trees, landing a short distance in front of her. Alana skidded to a halt, staring in horror at what appeared to be an absolutely huge grey wolf. Her legs turned to jelly, fear sweeping over her body as the animal turned to stare at her, it's bright yellow eyes burning in the darkness. It began to raise itself up on its hind legs, and she realised that this was what she'd laughed at, what her friends had warned her of; the werewolf.
